Labor Day Weekend Septemberfest- August 31-Sept. 2, 2024

When you head to the village of Schaumburg’s Septemberfest festival over the Labor Day weekend, support the students of School District 54 and the D54 Foundation by parking at Collins Elementary School. For the low, low price of $10, you can park all day on Saturday or Sunday at Collins, located at 407 S. Summit Drive in Schaumburg just down the street from the festival. Then come back on Monday, Labor Day, and purchase food in the Foundation booth on nonprofit day.

Run to Read – September 22, 2024

Save the date for the 2024 Run to Read, hosted this year by the District 54 Education Foundation on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Dirksen School. The District 54 Education Foundation is committed to supporting students today and preparing students for tomorrow. It does that primarily by providing support to children from financially struggling families.

With this change in host, there is also a change in how the funds will be spent. All funds raised this year will be used to support programs for these families – a crisis fund, a breakfast program, the District 54 food pantries and grants for children to participate in extracurricular activities. By meeting the basic needs of students, they are preparing students to be successful at school, thus the name Run to Read still applies.

Craft & Vendor Fair – November 9, 2024

The 2nd annual SEA/SEEO Craft and Vendor Fair benefitting the D54 Education Foundation is being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024. In addition to a variety of crafters and vendors, there will also be a concession stand and a raffle for all attendees. Save the date.
