Robert Kaplan

Robert M. Kaplan joined the D54 Education Foundation Board in 2024. Robert, and his wife Shannon, have lived in Hoffman Estates since 1991. During their years as residents, they raised two children who completed their elementary and junior high education within District 54.

Robert’s engagement with the Foundation is rooted in his dedication to having a positive impact on the lives of local families and youth. He strongly believes that involvement in local government and organizations is one of the most impactful ways to serve others. In his current capacity, Robert serves as the Chairperson of the Crisis Fund Committee, which focuses on supporting families who are experiencing financial difficulties.

Robert also contributes to the community as a Commissioner for the Hoffman Estates Park District and as a Trustee for both the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Friends of HEParks Foundation. Professionally, Robert works as a practicing attorney, with his office located in the Chatham Centre Building in Schaumburg.
